Eastmont Health Guidance (Effective August 30, 2023) based upon Department of Health updated guidance.

Guidance to Prevent and Respond to COVID-19 in K-12 Schools and Child Cares

  • We utilize this guidance from the Washington State Department of Health when advising students and parents - in most cases the guidance has changed from required actions to should.
  • Decisions on whether a child attends or stays at school will revert back to parents and school nurses.
  • Schools will resume pre-pandemic practices of sending children home when they have a fever in excess of 100 degrees, are vomiting or have diarrhea.

Our nurses have provided the information below to assist parents in determining if their child is too sick to go to school.
